Meet the Author

Hello, my name is Heidi.

I am a mother, Nina, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, and best friend. I love to cook and sing in our Praise band!

Writing has always been a saving grace in my life.

In my teen years, I wrote poetry – I’ve dabbled in that a bit over the years.

Impatient through the Years

Babies crying and not sleeping through the night -
    I cry, place a pillow over my head and wish them to be bigger;
Toddlers running in the restaurant, causing a fuss -
    I cringe and apologize and wish them to be bigger;
Teens look at me cross-eyed;
    I close my eyes and ...
My boys are grown, now, and have lives of their own
    I hold my empty hand and wish for younger years.

I usually write poetry when I’m deep in my emotions, whatever it may be that I’m going “through” at the time.

I process, think, and cry – and out comes a beautiful poem.

Simply digesting what’s going on in my life – how are my goals, habits, and holistic health doing?

I journal …

My journal time is a flow of prayer in written form.
I let go of my worries, guilt, hopes, and dreams and hand them all over to God.

Do I need to make changes in my life?
Improvements here and there – or do I need to skim back on the to-do list? Remove the tasks that no longer serve me.

Through my work

I aspire to expand your heart and mind to seek ways that guide you along a path of finding your inner peace.

Am I perfect? No! I do not toss stones out of my house!

However, I DO know that taking care of your mental health – taking care of our minds via positive thoughts – is crucial to our daily well-being.

I have come to appreciate and distinctly see the importance of a self-love and self-care routine.

When I skip these essential habits, I’ve seen what it does to my outlook, my life, and I have a massive lack of productivity!

The simple act of caring for our holistic health is what gives us our strength.

Only then can we take charge of our day.
Only then can we take care of others who need and depend on us.
Only then can we find our Inner Peace and Reveal our Inner Light.

And to help you through your journey, be sure to listen to my Radiance From Within Podcast every week!

I believe in you; now it’s your turn!

You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.
